The Veterinary Nursing program at Eastern Florida State College is a two-year Associate in Science degree that prepares graduates to work as veterinary technicians. Students complete at least two years of academic study including clinical practice under the supervision of EFSC faculty in the college's veterinary nursing clinical facility and designated external clinical sites. In addition to an AAS degree and Veterinary Technician National Exam eligibility, all program completers receive a nationally recognized certificate from the US Department of Labor. The program begins in the fall semester and runs continuously for five semesters, including two Winterim terms and one Maymester term for 21 months of continual study.
